The Fort Washington Area Council Boys & Girls Club (the "Cannons")
is an all volunteer non-profit organization governed by an annually
elected Board of Directors. Our main purpose is to sponsor educational
and sports activities for persons living in the Fort Washington area.
All those who participate or have children who participate in these
activities are members of the Council. Your membership in FWARC allows
you to influence the variety and quality of programs we sponsor. For
our programs to be effective, we must have the continued support of all
our parents and friends. The fees we charge only cover a fraction of
the cost to run these programs. Without volunteers our programs would
not survive.
Get involved and be a part of your child's future in our community.
Activities run year round.
Boundary:
If you live within the following boundaries, then you can enroll as a member with FWARC-BGC; otherwise, you
will need to seek membership with the appropriate Club.
Starts at Broad Creek and the Potomac River, East on Broad Creek to a point where Broad Creek Church
Road extended meets Livingston Road, NE on Livingston to Old Fort Road, SE on Old Fort Road to Indian
Head Highway to Old Fort Road, South on Old Fort Road to Gallahan Road, South on Gallahan To Piscataway
Road, South on Piscataway to Floral Park Rd, East on Floral Park Rd to Danville Road, SE on Danville
Road to Accokeek Road, East on Accokeek Road to Mckendree Road, SE on McKendree to Route 301,
South on 301 to the PG/Charles County line. Follow said line West and North to the Potomac River.
